THE DESIGN

An apartment floating in darkness.

A new work by Joanna Murray-Smith, Berlin unfolded within Christina Smith's remarkable set design: a fully realised apartment contained within a floating box, extending out into the auditorium. Niklas Pajanti's lighting brought another dimension to the design, creating the striking illusion of an apartment suspended in a seemingly endless void.

As Production Manager, I worked alongside Melbourne Theatre Company's creative and production teams to realise this ambitious staging for its premiere at The Sumner.
